In Preparation

- Meet with family members to learn about the deceased including their values, interests and life experiences;
- Discover what the family would like included in the ceremony;
- Discuss how to include any who wish to play a part in the ceremony;
- Offer support, guidance and suggestions for music, poetry, literature and symbols which you may wish to display;
- Assist in the preparation of a eulogy, or agree to write and deliver the eulogy;
- Create a draft ceremony for discussion, editing and approval by the family – a ceremony which remembers and honours their loved one;
- Liaise with the funeral director and staff at the chapel or cemetery.
